Password Requirements
The new password must be different from any of your previously used passwords.
Passwords must contain at least 8 characters.
Passwords must contain characters from three of the following five categories
Uppercase characters of European languages (A through Z)
Lowercase characters of European languages (a through z)
Digits (0 through 9)
Non-alphanumeric characters like ~!@#$%^&*_-+=`|\(){}[]:;"'<>,.?/
Any unicode character (such as Arabic characters)
Passwords must not contain your username, or any part of your first name or last name
It is preferable not to use any of the following: common english words, your date of birth, your phone number, AUB, Lebanon, or any character patterns such as qwerty or 12345
Notice that AUBnet passwords should be changed every 6 months.

AUB staff will NEVER request your PASSWORD via email
You may have read or heard of fraudulent e-mails that encourage recipients to provide their personal details such as user names and passwords. At AUB, we will never request your password via e-mail. If you receive such an e-mail request, please notify the IT Helpdesk immediately.
